ABOUT US

In the small coastal paradise of Gualala, California

Root Down was created by two women, who believe that experiences that merge the body, mind, spirit and environment hold the key to healing both our bodies and our planet.

Our goal is to offer you a space to gather, celebrate, journey inwards, and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature's wildlife. In a time of constant technological "connection", we offer a place to unplug in order to plug-in to something deeper.

We integrate the wisdom traditions of Yoga, Ayurveda & Environmental Education,

to create a holistic and practical approach to health and well-being on all levels -

mind, body, soul, and environment.

Our events range from personal healing, to couple's and group retreats, to corporate wellness retreats. Though our programs are diverse in application, our mission is always the same -

To Root Down & Light Up.

Discover your Wisdom From Within.

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

~ Harold Whitman

Our Team

Jen is a KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, and has taught classes & led retreats in Los Angeles and northern California.  She is an ongoing student of Kundalini Yoga under her teacher Joe Rich ("Gurubhai").  She currently gives professional management assistance to small wellness businesses, and has previously worked in hospitality and property dev/mngmt industries. She believes that integrating a trifecta of nature immersion, traditional yoga practices, and access to whole foods are initiatory steps to health and our ability to gain insight, direction, and service to others.
